ULM is the state's only public school of pharmacy and schools of nursing, kinesiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other health sciences, offering many opportunities for research and educational collaborations.
While VCOM has formed a collaborative partnership with ULM, the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine is granted and conferred solely by the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and is not affiliated with any of VCOM’s affiliated colleges or universities, including but not limited to Virginia Tech, Auburn University, or the University of Louisiana Monroe.
Each year, the College admits between 150 and 162 medical students per class, for a total student body of 600.
